The acupuncture I have is called Five Element, which means it treats the whole body, mind and spirit as one entity, not as separate, by balancing out the five essential elements present in everyone - Fire, Water, Metal, Earth and Wood. I know, at first you might think it sounds like bulls**t and trust me I was sceptical at first, but it's truly awesome. A friend has been having it for 3 months and has worked for her too.
All I'm trying to say is, piling on the creams, lotions, potions and taking heaps of antibiotics and agressive drugs like (Ro)Accutane is never going to treat your acne, it's just going to suppress the symptoms.
The first couple of weeks of treatment were pretty harsh, and brought out some really horrible emotions and feelings, and a breakout or two, but they all disappeared with the next treatment. I now feel incredible, happier than in a long time about my skin, and with renewed sense of confidence and self-esteem. I've also lost weight and my hormones feel way more balanced - PMS and pre-menstrual bloating are also much improved.
So give it a go. It's not cheap but if you think about the amount of money you have spent and will spend in the future on lotions, potions, vitamins etc and the difference acupuncture will make, you'll realise it's absolutely worth it.
There, that's my bit of advice. Good luck
I've always put my acne down to hormonal imbalance,
